lay on phoneRelay Utah is a Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (TEDP) which provides free telecommunication equipment for qualified individuals with hearing loss and speech challenges. The specialized equipment greatly improves phone access. 

The program offers several specialized phone options ranging from amplified phones to caption phones. Many of the phones work with landline phone services; some phones require high speed internet and a landline service.

HEARING ASSISTIVE PHONES

         
Panasonic KXTG450S Panasonic KX-TGM450S - Loud and clear with Volume Boost control for amplified caller voice volume up to 50 dB, includes six voice Tone Settings and a loud base unit Ringer. Slow Talk to slow the speed of speech in real time and when checking voice messages. Big white backlit LCD, enlarged Touch Dial Keys and controls, plus bright red LED visual ringers on base unit and handset enhance visibility and calling convenience. Noise Reduction to suppress background noise interference for clearer, more comfortable conversation. Clarity XLC2
Clarity Pro XLC2 -The XLC2 is a loud, simple and easy-to-use amplified cordless phone featuring up to 50 decibels of Digital Clarity Power amplification, DECT 6.0 technology and a loud and clear speakerphone. Large, high contrast buttons are easy to press and see, and speak the numbers as they are dialed. There is no need for a Caller ID screen, the handset speaks the number of the incoming caller. Recommended for moderate to severe hearing loss.
 
Clear Sounds CSC600 Clear Sounds CSC600 This model combines superb design, ergonomics and functionality with exceptional amplification and tone management technology.  Talking keypad, hearing aid compatible handset, large backlit keypad. Up to 50 decibels amplification.

Clarity XL7BT
Clarity XL7BT - Connect your cellphone or smartphone to the XLC7BT wirelessly, by Bluetooth. Then use the XLC7BT handset to make and receive calls harnessing your cell service. The XLC7BT gives you all the benefits of a home phone - excellent amplification, large keypad, easy-to-hold handset, and more - while using your cell service to make and receive calls. The XLC7BT also works with traditional, landline service - use it with your landline, cell phone, or both. 
Recommended for moderate to severe hearing loss.
         

CapTel - CAPTION PHONES

         
CapTel840i

CapTel 840 Plus The all-in-one CapTel 840 PLUS gives you the flexibility to meet telephone needs with just one device - whether you have traditional analog lines or IP telephone lines. Can be used either with standard analog telephone lines or as an IP-based device. Helps address issues if your telecommunications provider moves to a VoIP platform. Built-in test for Line Quality helps determine which mode will work best for user. User interface is similar between both modes - no need for additional training.
Recommended for severe to profound hearing loss. Analog landline is required for use with the CapTel 840.

  CapTel840i CapTel 840i - This captioning phone requires High-Speed internet and a landline service. The phone uses voice-recognition technology to display the words being spoken in a digital display. You are able to read the conversation and/or clearly hear the conversation. The CapTel also includes an amplified handset and tone control to maximize clarity. Recommended for severe to profound hearing loss.
